Need further proof that Tom Brady is the GOAT?
Yes, yes, Giants fans, we know, you beat him twice in the Super Bowl. But Brandin Echols, the Jets’ sixth-round pick this season, was barely in high school for the second Giants-Pats Super Bowl, and growing up in Favre country in Mississippi, he got to watch Brady from the time he was in kindergarten all the way through college.

Sunday was the first chance Echols got to face Brady, and undoubtedly, this pick of an underthrown ball in the second quarter is probably a personal career highlight:
So much of a highlight, in fact, that moments after the Jets’ crushing loss to the Bucs on a last-minute Brady drive (something Echols saw many of, surely), the rookie asked Brady not just for an autograph…he asked TB12 to put his John Hancock on the ball he picked off.
Brady may be 30-6 now against the Jets all-time, but Echols will always have that pick – even if some, including one of our own hosts, didn’t agree with the timing of the ask:
Sal is back on overnights starting tonight and is on from 2-5 a.m. following Lori Rubinson, so surely, this will be one he’ll be talking about.

So, too, will Echols, who will always have that souvenir on his mantle from what will be just a four or five win rookie season.
