An on-side kick on the opening kickoff?

Not exactly what the Jets had in mind, but that’s what happened when punter Braden Mann slipped after possibly stepping on the kicking tee, leading to a squibbed kick:

Mann slipped on a kickoff last week, too, and this time, Buffalo got the ball at their own 45 to start and were inside the red zone on one play after a 42-yard sideline route to Stefon Diggs down to the 18…but on Buffalo’s third play, Jordan Whitehead stepped in front of Allen’s pass for Dawson Knox for an interception that gave Gang Green the ball at their own 14.

All’s well that ends well? Sort of, as the Jets went three-and-out after two runs and an incompletion, giving the Bills the ball back; at least this time, Mann's punt went 63 yards, and an 18-yard return gave it to Buffalo at their own 33 to begin anew.
