Jets deliver all-time bad beat for bettors on final play of 2022 season

The Jets already gave their fans a letdown by losing six straight to end the season 7-10 and out of the playoffs, but they also decided to give bettors who had faith in them one last kick below the belt on the final play of the season.

Most sportsbooks had the opening line for Jets-Dolphins at Jets +3.5 (give or take a half-point for some), so when Jason Sanders hit a field goal to make it 9-6 in the final minute, most folks were looking at a push at worst and a slim win at best on the spread line.
