Many expected the Aaron Rodgers uncertainty to be over by now, as several trades and free agent signings have been made since the legal tampering period began.
But Rodgers remains uncertain of his future, with both the Packers and Jets reportedly in the dark over whether the future Hall of Famer wants to be in New York, with another team, or out of the NFL and into retirement.
According to The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt, the wait may be wearing on Jets players, who haven’t hid their excitement about the prospect of playing with Rodgers.
Per Rosenblatt, some Jets players “have been frustrated” about the “process dragging out,” perhaps impatiently waiting to hear that their team has made a significant upgrade at its most crucial position.
In recent days, several Jets players have taken to social media to pitch Rodgers about coming to New York, with Sauce Gardner burning a cheesehead alongside Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson. But still, there has been no update from Rodgers as of Tuesday afternoon, and some Jets players are reportedly getting antsy.
