On a football Sunday Doug Pederson returned to Philadelphia for the first time…it was across the state where we saw a near-Philly Special, courtesy of the Jets.
The Jets had 2nd-and-goal from the two when Zach Wilson took a shotgun snap and tossed to motion man Garrett Wilson, who then tossed to Braxton Berrios…who found a wide-open Wilson out in the right flat for a touchdown:
Of course, the actual Philly Special had one less segment of razzle dazzle – Corey Clement took that snap, not Nick Foles, before Trey Burton found Foles – but both resulted in touchdowns for the green team.
For Wilson, it was his first-ever touchdown catch and first TD of the season, as he had just returned Sunday after missing the first three games recovering from preseason knee surgery.
