Francisco Lindor has his first home run in a Mets uniform.
New York’s new star shortstop got in on the long ball party on Tuesday, joining Pete Alonso and Dominic Smith as other notable Mets to go deep against the Astros to back Jacob deGrom.
Lindor stepped up in the bottom of the sixth with a runner on, and turned on the first pitch he saw, crushing a fastball down and in and sending it deep into the grass beyond the right field wall for a 413-foot home run.
The 110 mph laser gave Lindor a chance to admire his first home run as a Met, and gave New York a 7-3 lead.
