The Yankees and Mets will face off on Saturday, the 20th anniversary of 9/11, and the home team will be honoring first responders for the second straight season.

The Mets will have the option of donning FDNY and NYPD caps during Saturday’s game, the team announced on Wednesday, something both the Yanks and Mets did last year Sept. 11.

In addition, Bobby Valentine, the Mets manager back in 2001, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch to Joe Torre, the Yankees’ skipper at the time of the horrific attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

Fourteen coaches from the Mets 2001 team, including Mike Piazza, owner of one of the most memorable home runs in franchise history on the night baseball resumed following 9/11, will be in attendance.

Players and coaches wore similar caps shortly after the attacks in 2001, and continued to through the end of the season.
