The Yankees and Mets might still be looking for pitching help any way they can get it after the MLB Trade Deadline…perhaps our own Peter Schwartz can help?

Schwartz, our Islanders columnist/overnight and fill-in update anchor/hard to lift colleague, got the chance to throw out the first pitch at Tuesday night’s Somerset Patriots-Binghamton Rumble Ponies game, and while he wasn’t quite Cy Young, he certainly wasn’t one of the worst ever:

We’re not sure if a bottle or two of delicious Casamigos “ta-KEE-yah” in those cargo pockets was weighing Peter down, but he still took the Patriots’ jest in stride, and made WFAN proud.

Even better? Peter got to keep the ceremonial first pitch all as well!
