Aaron Judge is still stuck on 62 midway through game one of Tuesday’s doubleheader, and the pursuit of history might be starting to wane on the Yankee slugger.
Judge, after grounding out and flying out to start Tuesday’s action against the Rangers, got a pitch to hit against Jon Gray in the top of the fifth, but popped up the slider to first base before slamming his helmet after getting back to the dugout.

Judge, who has been pitched around much more than usual since getting to 60 home runs, is now batting .182 over his last 12 games, and has just one hit in his last 12 at-bats, the one coming on a check swing infield single on Monday night.
While chasing the Yankee and American League record, Judge has dealt with immeasurable exposure and hype surrounding every at-bat, all while starting in 54 straight games. Fatigue could be setting in as the finish line nears, and with just once home run since Sept. 20, he only has a few chances left to move past Maris.
