Giancarlo Stanton has been working to get his timing down after returning from the IL, and he seems to have found it on Saturday.

After ripping two hard-hit balls, one a single, to begin his first day in the starting lineup since Monday, Stanton destroyed a 47 mph pitch from Christian Bethancourt, a position player on the mound with the Rays getting trounced 9-3 in the bottom of the eighth, and laced it off the left field foul pole for his first home run since July 15.

The pitch came in at 47 mph, and left at 101.9 mph, traveling 394 feet.

Stanton went 2-for-5 with two runs scored after texting Aaron Boone Saturday morning saying he was ready to go back in the lineup. He proved it at the plate.
