The Yankees recently promoted their top prospect Anthony Volpe to Triple-A, and now, their No. 2 overall prospect is getting a bump.

The team announced Tuesday afternoon that Jasson Dominguez has been promoted to Double-A Somerset, along with Tyler Hardman. The 19-year-old outfielder started the season with the Class-A Tampa Tarpons, but has spent the last 40 games with High-A Hudson Valley, where he has slashed .306/.397/.510 with six home runs.

Dominguez was named the South Atlantic League Player of the Week last week, the final week of the season for the Renegades.

Many prospects are called up at the end of a minor league season to get an extra week or so of game experience, and the Patriots’ regular season runs through Sunday before the playoffs begin.
