Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - In, arguably, the most anticipated game of the season against their arch rivals in the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills locked up a massive 30-21 victory in front of a loud Highmark Stadium in Week 11.
Thanks to Bills quarterback Josh Allen's skill alone and huge plays on defense to prevent Patrick Mahomes from doing any true damage, the Bills were able to secure their sixth-consecutive win to improve to 9-2 on the season, while simultaneously ending Kansas City's unbeaten streak to start the year.
Allen finished his day in Orchard Park with 262 yards on 27-of-40 passing, a touchdown through the air and also an interception.
However, the play of the game, and arguably the year, came with his feet in the fourth quarter. Facing a 4th-and-2 and a chance to extend their drive up by two points, Allen stepped up and broke loose to not only gain a first down, but ended up scampering 26 yards for a touchdown to put Buffalo up by a pair of scores with 2:17 remaining.
Allen knew how much this game meant to everyone in in the Bills locker room. The rivalry between the Bills and Chiefs is still at its peak, and he knew he had to be the leader to guide the team to victory.
"I'm going to do anything and everything that I can do to help this team win football games", Allen said during his postgame presser with the media.
"Sometimes it's, again, handing it off, sometimes it's throwing it, sometimes it's running it. Whatever I'm asked to do, I'm just trying to do to the best of my ability."
