Orchard Park N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - With the continued struggles from Tyler Bass kicking the football from week-to-week, the Buffalo Bills have brought another kicker into the fold.
The Bills announced Thursday morning the signing of kicker Lucas Havrisik to the practice squad. This is the fourth team Havrisik has been on since he entered the NFL in 2022.
Havrisik played nine games with the Los Angeles Rams just this past season after being singed off the Cleveland Browns' practice squad. In those nine contests, Havrisik converted 15-of-20 field goal attempts, with his longest kick coming from 52 yards out.
This past Monday saw Bass miss an extra point, along with a 47-yard field goal in their 23-20 win over the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.
Bass has had a rough start to his 2024 season, converting on just 75% of his field goal attempts, ranking among the worst kickers in the NFL.
In his five-plus seasons with the Bills, Bass has been fairly reliable with a field goal conversion rate of 84.1%, as well as a 97% conversion rate with extra points.
To make room for Havrisik on the practice squad, the Bills released wide receiver Ahmarean Brown.
