Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox will require wrist surgery, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

Knox has been dealing with the injury for a couple of weeks, but McDermott said the decision was made on Monday, a day after the team's 29-25 loss to the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

McDermott says it's too early to tell how much time Knox would miss.

The 26-year-old was involved in a critical play on Sunday when he was able to get his hands on a ball thrown to him on fourth down. However, it was knocked free by a Patriots defender before he was able to secure it, causing the Bills offense to turn the ball over on downs.

For the season, Knox has 15 receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.

Rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid had his best day as a pro on Sunday, grabbing eight passes for 75 yards. He's now caught 25 passes for 193 yards on the season.

Tight end Quintin Morris missed Sunday's game with an ankle injury. McDermott did not provide an update on his status for this week.

McDermott also announced that linebacker Baylon Spector suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday's loss.

Here is the official injury report provided by the club after their Monday walk-through:

The Bills have a short turnaround, as they get set to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night in Orchard Park.
