London (WGR 550) - It appears the Buffalo Bills have suffered another significant injury to a key piece of their defense.

During the second defensive drive for the Bills in the first quarter of their Sunday matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, England, linebacker Matt Milano appeared to have his right leg rolled up on, causing a serious injury.

Milano was seen on the broadcast needing assistance getting to the blue medical tent on the sidelines, and was shortly after ruled out for the game. He was also carted off the sidelines and back to the locker room for further evaluation.

According to NFL Network sideline reporter Jamie Erdahl and insider Ian Rapoport, Milano was seen being loaded on the cart with a cast on his right leg that extended from his shin to his thigh.

It was rookie linebacker Dorian Williams who ended up coming into the game for Milano, as he ended the day with five total tackles and a pass defended.

Following the game, head coach Sean McDermott did not provide any sort of positive update regarding Milano's status, simply saying it wasn't a good long-term outlook.

In the hours following the loss, Rapoport further reported it is feared that Milano suffered a fracture of his right leg, and a knee injury that is more than likely a season-ending injury.

This is not the first significant injury Milano has suffered in his seven-year career with the Bills. During the 2018 season, his second year in the league, the 29-year-old suffered a broken fibula late in the season that ended his year early.

Additionally, the Bills lost defensive tackle DaQuan Jones earlier on the same drive with a pec injury.
