Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Buffalo Bills center Mitch Morse has cleared concussion protocol and was back on the practice field in Orchard Park on Thursday.

Morse suffered a concussion during the team’s Week 15 win over the Miami Dolphins, forcing him to miss last Saturday’s game against the Chicago Bears.
Defensive end Boogie Basham, who also missed Sunday’s 35-13 win over the Bears with a calf injury, was also back on the field.
The Bills travel to Cincinnati this weekend to face the Bengals in a huge AFC matchup on Monday night. With wins in their final two games, Buffalo (12-3) can clinch the top overall seed in the conference, giving them home-field advantage throughout the playoffs and a first-round bye.
The Bengals (11-4) are just one game behind the Bills and, with a win, would overtake them for AFC seeding.
While they did get a couple key players back on Thursday, wide receiver Stefon Diggs did not practice due to an illness, while safety Jordan Poyer missed with a knee injury he’s been dealing with. Running back/special teamer Taiwan Jones also did not practice with a hamstring injury.

Head coach Sean McDermott announced on Thursday the team has opened the 21-day window for cornerback Christian Benford to return from Injured Reserve. They will have until Jan. 18 to re-activate him to the 53-man roster, but can do it at anytime before then.
