Terrel Bernard, Taron Johnson won't play Sunday against Ravens

Rookie offensive lineman Tylan Grable has a groin injury

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Tuesday that linebacker Terrel Bernard and cornerback Taron Johnson won't be available to play for the team when the face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night.

While speaking to reporters via Zoom a day after his team's 47-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, McDermott says both players are improving and will do a little more this week, but still won't be ready to take the field for the game.

McDermott adds he was confident in the medical timeline he has on both players. Neither were placed on Injured Reserve, which is an indication the team is optimistic they'll both be back before missing four games.

Johnson injured his forearm two weeks ago in the Bills' season-opening win over the Arizona Cardinals. Bernard injured his pectoral muscle four days later during their win over the Miami Dolphins.

Other than Bernard and Johnson, McDermott also announced that offensive tackle Tylan Grable injured his groin on Monday night and will be out "for some time."
