Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Following the Buffalo Bills' bye week, general manager Brandon Beane met with the media on Wednesday, as his 6-6 squad readies to kick off the final five games of the 2023 season against the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium.
A majority of Wednesday's conversation centered around the allegations surrounding veteran pass rusher Von Miller, who turned himself into police in Dallas last week Thursday after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Miller is accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend last week Wednesday, which is a Third Degree felony in the State of Texas.
Miller was released on Thursday on a $5,000 bond.
"We were made aware last Thursday about the situation regarding Von, about probably the same time [the media] heard about it," said Beane on Wednesday. "Checked in with his agent, and then obviously with the NFL. As you probably read or heard, there was multiple versions of what happened. There's not a lot that I can say. Von is here to be a part of the team. We'll let the investigation [play out], and we'll follow the lead of the NFL from that standpoint."
Beane added Miller will be available to play this coming Sunday against the Chiefs.
