As it turns out, the Sabres and Bills are slated to play on the same day three times this season, starting on Sunday, Nov. 19. That day will first feature the Bills hosting the New York Jets at Highmark Stadium for a 4:25 p.m. EST kickoff, followed by a 7 p.m. EST puck drop between the Sabres and Blackhawks at the United Center in Chicago.

Then in December, both the Bills and Sabres will be in action almost simultaneously on Saturday, Dec. 23. The Sabres will be in New York to take on the Rangers starting with a 7:30 p.m. EST faceoff, shortly followed by an 8 p.m. EST kickoff in Los Angeles between the Bills and Chargers at SoFi Stadium.

Finally, both teams will play on New Year's Eve with the Bills hosting the New England Patriots in Orchard Park for a 1 p.m. EST kickoff, followed by a 6 p.m. EST faceoff between the Sabres and Senators in Ottawa.

There are a pair of other instances this upcoming season where the Sabres will be in action on a Sunday in place of the Bills.

The Sabres will host the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday, Oct. 29 at KeyBank Center in Downtown Buffalo for a 1 p.m. ET faceoff at KeyBank Center. That game takes place with the Bills having played the Thursday before in a matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Highmark Stadium.

A little more than a month later on Sunday, Dec. 3, the Sabres will match up with the Nashville Predators on home ice for a 7 p.m. EST puck drop. This game lies during the Bills' bye week in Week 13 of the NFL schedule.

As for the Sabres' preseason schedule, they are only slated to play one games at the same time as the Bills. That comes with their first preseason game on Sunday, Sept. 24 when they take on the Washington Capitals at 2 p.m. ET in the nation's capital.

That same Sunday will see the Bills heading to FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland to face the Washington Commanders for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff.
