Buffalo, NY (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff announced Friday that defenseman and team captain Rasmus Dahlin will be taking a temporary leave of absence from the team as he returns to Sweden to deal with a personnel matter.
Dahlin’s fiancée, Carolina, underwent a heart transplant over the offseason. Ruff said with the media that Dahlin told him that everything is ok but at this time there is no timetable on his return from Sweden.
The Sabres will begin a four game road trip on Saturday, November 8th, down in Raleigh to take on the Hurricanes. For Lindy Ruff’s entire comments from Friday morning with the media, you can listen below:
