Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The month of March has, so far, been very kind to the Buffalo Sabres.
The Sabres are currently winners of six of their last nine games, as well as four of their last five contests. These include wins over teams like the Calgary Flames, Vegas Golden Knights, Toronto Maple Leafs and Minnesota Wild.
The young core in Buffalo has started to put together some quality wins with the season starting to draw to a close. In addition, the rest of the team can breathe a sigh of relief with the NHL Trade Deadline passed.

The deadline came and went Monday with the Sabres only making one move, trading defenseman Robert Hagg on Sunday to the Florida Panthers for a sixth round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.
With the trade deadline now in the rearview mirror, Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams joined the “Howard and Jeremy Show” on Tuesday with his thoughts on the month that has been for his team, the trade deadline, and also what comes next for this young group.
“I take a little bit of a different view, to say where the process is,” Adams said when it came to the timeline and process for the Sabres. “What are we doing on a deeper level, all the way down to Rochester.”
While Adams has put in his work to build a solid group in Buffalo, he says the staff in place, led by head coach Don Granato, have been the driving force behind establishing the culture.
“'Donny' and his staff have done an unbelievable job of providing clarity on expectations for the team,” Adams said.
