A driver was transported for medical treatment Thursday afternoon following a collision with a school bus at a busy intersection in Wilkes-Barre. The accident occurred near the corner of Northampton Street and Wilkes-Barre Boulevard when, according to witnesses at the scene, a passenger vehicle traveling behind the bus struck its rear passenger side. Emergency responders quickly arrived to assess the situation and provide aid to the driver of the car, whose condition has not yet been detailed by hospital officials.
The school bus was occupied at the time of the crash, but authorities confirmed that no children or staff members on board sustained any injuries.
