A Scranton man, Derek Greenfield, is facing terrorism and other related charges after police say he posted numerous threats directed at Scranton Mayor Paige Cognetti and members of the Scranton Police Department on social media. Authorities received screenshots of Greenfield’s Facebook page containing the written threats. Investigators also acquired videos Greenfield posted to Snapchat, where he was reportedly visible while making threats and openly admitting to committing traffic violations, specifically running red lights and going through stop signs. The investigation led to Greenfield being charged with terrorism and several other offenses.
