(WWJ) Authorities are looking for a suspicious person who may have been trying to kidnap a 5-year-old boy in Pontiac.
The child's parent told Oakland County Sheriff's deputies the man was spotted Monday evening near their backyard, in the 100 blk. of Dwight St., east of Telegraph Rd. and south of Ekizabeth Lake Rd., speaking to their son.
When the resident confronted the suspect, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the man claimed that this was his house.
The little boy told investigators the stranger offered him food if he would come with him.
The child was not harmed.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian or Hispanic male in his late 30s, about 5'7'' tall and weighing between 165 and 185 pounds, with long, curly, reddish hair.
He was seen leaving the area in a black four-door truck with a topper on the back.
