CLAWSON (WWJ) - Clawson police are investigating a possible threat made by a high school student.

Police say officers responded to Clawson High School, off Livernois Road north of 14 Mile Road, around 6 p.m. Thursday after a student told his mother that a classmate threatened to blow up the school on Friday. The student said the threat was made during third hour classes, but they did not immediately report it.

Investigators and administrators talked with the student and his parents, and the student denied making any threat.

As a precaution, Michigan State Police dogs searched the school but found nothing.

Classes are in session as expected Friday morning.
