ROSEVILLE (WWJ) -- One person is behind bars and another is hospitalized in critical condition after an apparent case of road rage in Macomb County.

According to police, the incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. Thursday in front of the Days Inn and Suites on Gratiot, north of 13 Mile Road in Roseville.

Although it's not known what ignited the altercation between these two drivers, police say it all started when they were stopped at a red light in a construction zone.

Fox 2 Detroit reports the driver of a pickup truck got out and approached the other driver, who then allegedly fired several shots at the man at his window.

The alleged shooter drove down the street and waited for police, while the man who was shot was rushed to a local hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
