
DETROIT (WWJ) - One person is dead and two people were hurt after police say they were shot while sitting in a vehicle in Detroit on Tuesday evening.
The incident occured in the 11700 block of Lauder just before 10:30 p.m. on the city's west side, the Detroit Police Department said.
A total of three adults, two males and one female, were sitting in a vehicle when someone open fired. One of the males was fatally injured.
The condition of the two other victims is currently unknown.
Police said updates about the case will provided later on Wednesday. No other details were released.
The triple shooting happened a few hours before another shooting incident was reported on M-14 in Plymouth, near the I-275 interchange, around 3 a.m. on Wednesday.
A victim was found in his vehicle with a gunshot wound, Michigan State Police said. He was taken to the hospital where he remains in stable condition.
