**UPDATE -- Police said this missing child has been recovered.
DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit Police are searching for a child who has been missing for a month in the city.
According to investigators, 12-year-old La’Nay Thomas was last seen the evening of Sunday, February 26, 2023, at her home in the 18900 block of Curtis, in the area of W. Outer Dr. and the Southfield Freeway.
Police said Thomas left the house at around 8 p.m., without permission, and did not return.
Thomas is described as a Black female, 5'3'' tall, weighing around 150 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a black coat, blue jeans and UGG boots.
