Detroit police asking for tips to find 13-year-old autistic boy who left home without permission

DETROIT (WWJ) – Have you seen Gabriel Dawson? Detroit police are asking for tips from the public to help find the 13-year-old with autism, who went missing on the city’s northwest side over the weekend.

Police officials say Dawson was last seen around 10:20 a.m. Saturday when he left his home in the 16600 block of Wyoming without permission.

His parents told police he has autism.

Police describe the teen as about 5-foot-7, 150 lbs., with blonde hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and blue flip flops.

Anyone who has seen Gabriel Dawson or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s 12th Precinct at 313-596-1201
