Police: 22-year-old woman found dead in parked car in Detroit neighborhood

DETROIT (WWJ) The body of a 22-year-old woman was found in a parked car in a neighborhood on Detroit’s west side, police said.

Detroit Police said her body was discovered in the back of a 2017 Dodge Journey on Stahelin Street (19300 block) near Vassar just before 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Police told FOX 2 the woman had been the victim of a fatal assault, but she had not been shot.

The victim’s name has not been released.

The events leading up to her death remain under investigation.  Police do not have a suspect in custody.
