Three people were trapped upstairs and had to be rescued by the Detroit Fire Department then taken to a local hospital. WWJ is informed that two of the three individuals are listed in critical condition with the third person's condition unknown.

WWJ's reporter Mike Campbell was told by a man sitting in a car nearby that it was his mother, father and sister who were trapped upstairs. A man inside the home, identified as the brother, said this wasn't the first time they've experienced a fire at this home.

The cause is thought by the two men to be from a small electrical problem.

The upstairs suffered considerable smoke, fire and water damage.
