60+ firefighters responding to 2-alarm blaze in vacant Detroit building

DETROIT (WWJ) – Dozens of Detroit firefighters are battling a blaze on the city’s northwest side Thursday night.

A two-alarm fire broke out at a vacant commercial building near Florence and Winston – in the area of Telegraph and McNichols – around 6 p.m.

Officials tell WWJ around 60 firefighters were called to the scene.

No injuries have been reported.

Officials say crews are still working to extinguish the flames.

It was not clear what sparked the blaze or where it originated.
