(WWJ) A draft opinion suggests the U.S. Supreme Court could be poised to overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade case that legalized abortion nationwide, according to a Politico report released Monday ... a decision that would split the country into states with abortion access and those that outlaw it.
Many states already have so-called “trigger laws” that would effectively ban or severely limit abortions, while other states are moving to enact such restrictions.
So, if Roe is ultimately overturned, where does Michigan stand? What rights will women in Michigan have when it comes to terminating a pregnancy? It’s a complicated question that WWJ’s Zach Clark explores in a new edition of The Daily J.
