(WWJ) – A Michigan man is in trouble with the law for allegedly wreaking havoc with a chainsaw because he was upset over a dog pooping on the floor.
A 37-year-old man from Chippewa Township, near Mt. Pleasant, was arrested in the early morning hours of Valentine’s Day, the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office said, according to the Morning Sun.
Deputies had been called to a home on East Pickard Road because he was “threatening people with the saw and destroying things,” the Morning Sun says.
Witnesses told deputies the man had become enraged after a dog defecate on the floor and he began to destroy a bedroom with the saw.
When he was done, the sheriff’s office said, he threw the saw at another person in the bedroom. That person was hit by the saw and sustained a minor cut.

The man and his girlfriend fled the scene before police arrived. She was found hiding behind a tree, while the man was tracked down in a neighboring house.
He was arrested and the chainsaw was recovered. No names have been released.
Police did not disclose who the homeowner was.
