(WWJ) If you're sitting there thinking you don't have quite enough snow piled up outside your home, we have good news to report.

Another round of light, powdery snow is expected to arrive in metro Detroit beginning early on Thursday, through the day and into the night.

And most of the area will see some additional accumulation.

"Snow is going to be approaching from the south toward daybreak," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Dave Bowers. "We'll likely see some light snow in the air for the morning rush. and that snow will continue much of the time throughout the day and into the evening."

Bowers said metro Detroit should expect an additional 2 or so inches on top of what's already there — making for some slick travel conditions.

Areas on the outskirts of the suburbs and across Southeast Michigan could get as much as 4 inches.

With the last storm, the WWJ listening areas had recorded snow totals ranging from 7 1/2 inches in Detroit, all the way up to 13 1/2 in Port Huron.

Along with the snow, expect more frigid air on Thursday. with a high of only 25, and an overnight low of around 15 degrees in Detroit, Bowers said.

Friday will be quite cold once again, with a chance of flurries and a high of 29 in the city.

Bowers said metro Detroiters will get a little break from the white stuff on Saturday, before more some more snow possible on Sunday, late in the afternoon and into the night.

If you're waiting for a little warm-up, that could happen next week. The extended AccuWeather forecast shows temperatures Monday through Saturday, Feb. 22-27, up into the 30s...even reaching close 40 degrees for a day or two.
