
BRIGHTON (WWJ) -- A man who pulled a weapon on a gas station clerk in Brighton and then rode off on a bicycle is behind bars.
Brighton Police said the incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Marathon on Grand River Avenue at I-96.
Authorities said the suspect pulled a knife on one of the employees while he demanded cash.
The clerk gave an unknown amount of money to the suspect who then fled on a bike.
When police arrived on scene, the man was already gone, but was able to be tracked down by a Michigan State Police dog. He was found behind the PetSmart along the same road as the station.
The suspect was taken into custody, where police said he admitted to the crime.
The suspect also said the stolen cash was in his pocket.
The man is currently behind bars in the Livingston County Jail and awaiting charges.
