(WWJ) Police in a Downriver community are hoping someone knows something about a young reptile found roaming around.
Late Sunday night, officers with the Riverview Police Department responded Marsha and Hale for a report of an alligator in the roadway.
When they arrived, they found a two-foot baby reptile strolling down the street.
The alligator was taken into custody and temporarily placed with a local reptile expert, police said.
Now investigators are trying to figure out where the little guy came from.
Anyone with information on to whom the gator belongs, how it got to Marsha/Hale St., is asked to Det. Thome at 734-281-4216.
