COMMERCE TWP. (WWJ) A boat exploded on an Oakland County lake, according to the sheriff’s office.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said their search and rescue team was deployed Sunday afternoon for a boat explosion on Union Lake in Commerce Township.
No one was injured, they said.
“…It’s a stark reminder to properly use your boat blower motor before activating the ignition,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement on Twitter.
Their team “used equipment to safely remove the boat from the lake,” they said.
No additional information was released.
