DETROIT (WWJ) - At least one suspect is in custody after the occupants of a Ford Bronco led police on an early morning chase before wrecking in Detroit on Tuesday.

WWJ's Charlie Langton reports Redford police were in pursuit of a red Bronco Tuesday morning when it crossed over into Detroit and crashed into a utility pole on 7 Mile and Shiawassee Drive, just east of Telegraph Rd.

Officers from Redford and Detroit are currently at the scene.

Several suspects ran from the Bronco, but at least one person is in custody, "maybe more," Langton said.

DTE is currently on site to determine what kind of damage occurred to the utility pole during the crash. No power outages were reported in the area, according to DTE's outage map.

It is unclear why police were in pursuit of the vehicle at this time, but the investigation remains on going.
