SANDUSKY, OH (WWJ) -- The changes keep on rolling at Cedar Point!
Just a few days after it was announced that the Top Thrill Dragster would not be opening for the 2022 season, the park has revealed a list of new attractions and experiences that will thrill park enthusiasts in a different way.
An all-new indoor waterpark hotel is one of the park’s main new features that will debut in May.
Located just off of the Cedar Point Peninsula, the updated Castaway Bay will feature new dining options, activities like mini bowling, and an indoor waterpark with 10 different attractions.
Another addition to Cedar Point's resorts will be the newly-renovated Sawmill Creek. Just 10-minutes from the park and surrounded by 200 acres of woodlands, the resort will boast 239 guest rooms, and 18-hole golf course, a Lake Erie marina and more.

Cedar Point also announced several new dining options that will open in the park come May, including a restaurant in Frontier Town that is taking the place on the recently-demolished Antique Cars ride.
The Farmhouse Kitchen & Grill will serve a variety home-style foods such as roasted corn ribs, house-made chili, char-roasted flank steak with chimichurri, roasted seasonal vegetables, hushpuppies and more.
Additionally, Cedar Point is introducing Derby Dogs, which will be located next to Cedar Downs Racing Derby and will offer all-things hot dogs -- from foot-longs to mini hot dogs, and even Italian sausage.

Finally on the food front will be the recently-renovated Coasters Drive-In, which will debut a new interior and menu with hand-made burgers, milkshakes and a toppings bar, rotating sandwiches and salad specials.
As if all of that wasn’t enough, Cedar Point will also host its “Celebrate Cedar Point Parade & Spectacular” this summer. The parade, which will feature 12 floats that travel up and down the Main Midway, will run from June 24-Aug 14.
Park enthusiasts can experience these recent changes and more when Cedar Point opens for the 2022 season on Saturday, May 7.
