INDEPENDENCE TWP. (WWJ) -- A Clarkston man who wasn't wearing a helmet is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says the 49-year-old man was critically injured when the 2008 Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle he was operating left the roadway.
According to OCSO, he wasn’t wearing a helmet.
He was traveling westbound on Clarkston Road near Newport Street in Independence Township when the crash occurred.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The crash is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit.
