Have you seen Xtaviaa? Concern mounts for missing Hazel Park woman with short-term memory loss

Police have learned a 24-year-old Hazel Park women who went missing on New Year's Eve had visited a hospital before getting a Lyft ride to a shelter in St. Clair Shores before she disappeared.

HAZEL PARK (WWJ) - Police have learned a 24-year-old Hazel Park women who went missing on New Year's Eve had visited a hospital before getting a Lyft ride to a shelter in St. Clair Shores before she disappeared.

The Hazel Park Police Department released the new details on Wednesday morning, four days after Xtaviaa Weems, 24, was first reported missing in the area of 15 Mile and Ryan Road in Sterling Heights.

Officers since discovered she took a rideshare from the area to St. Clair Shores where they are attempting to piece together what happened from there.

Weems' family along with police are growing concerned for the young woman who relatives say has short-term memory loss and is without her medication. She is also without her phone.

Police have described Weems as a Black female who is 5" tall and weighs 112 lbs. She has black hair that has been dyed blue and is styled in a long braid.

She was last seen wearing a a blue Looney Toons coat, polka dot leggings and black and orange Nike shoes
