
DETROIT (WWJ) - Information about a suspect who allegedly hit a young man with gunfire in Detroit is being sought by police investigating the crime.
Officials with the Detroit Police Department said the incident occurred Tuesday evening, around 9:30 p.m. in the area of Grand River and Lahser.
Police say the suspect, known as "D-man," came up to a 19-year-old male and started firing shots.
The victim was struck and the suspect took off on foot in an unknown direction, officials said,
The 19-year-old was taken to a local hospital where is listed in temporary serious condition, authorities added.
Police released a photo of the suspect on Thursday, describing him as a male in his 20's, standing approximently 6’ 0” and weighing 200 lbs. He is said to be sporting a thin mustache.
"He was last seen wearing a black du-rag, dark colored ‘Nike’ sweatshirt with red and white embroidery, blue sweatpants with a white stripe and black flip flops," police said in a press release on Thursday.
