An initial investigation determined a Buick sedan, driven by 19-year-old Yousef Alsudani, of Dearborn, was traveling east on Ford Road, when the car sideswiped a semi-truck as well as a Toyota sedan before rolling onto its roof.

Alsudani was listed in critical condition at Beaumont Hospital before he was airlifted to Ann Arbor where he later died from his injuries.

The passenger of the Buick sustained minor injuries and was later released from the hospital.

The driver of the semi was not injured, while the driver of the Toyota sustained a minor injury and later released from the hospital. No other occupants in the Toyota were injured.

This incident is still under investigation.  It is unknown if intoxicants were involved in this incident.

“This is a tragic situation and our condolences go out this young man’s family," said Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad. "I cannot stress enough the importance of obeying traffic safety laws -- statistics have shown compliance to traffic safety laws will mitigate these types of situations.”

Michigan State Police and Dearborn Police blocked off Ford Road for hours while they investigated.
