Deadly hit-and-run in Detroit remains unsolved nearly one year later (VIDEO)

DETROIT (WWJ) Detroit Police continue to look for answers in a deadly hit-and-run that happened 9 months ago on the west side.

Police say the victim, 50, was walking across Fenkell at Linwood when he was struck by an unknown driver on the night of Sunday, August 23rd 2020.

The suspect was driving a “light-colored SUV” and travelling eastbound on Fenkell when he hit the man and kept going, police said. The SUV had a ladder rack and ladders on the roof (shown in video released by Detroit Police below).

The victim was killed.
