A man is in police custody, accused of shooting at a vehicle on the freeway.

State Police say it happened early Sunday morning in Detroit near the southbound I-75 ramp to Davison.

A driver and a passenger were shot, their vehicle damaged by bullets. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Detroit Police later received a call from a man who said he fired his weapon at a vehicle, after someone pointed a gun at him on the freeway. He was arrested by State Police.

So what really happened? Investigators say the shooting was over a prior altercation and an on-going argument between the victims and suspect.
