DETROIT (WWJ) -- A local small business underwent major damage after a car caught on surveillance footage traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into it Tuesday morning.

WWJ reporter Charlie Langton said the footage shows a car going westbound on Seven Mile towards I-75 and then appears to slip on ice and skid across the center line, smashing right into the Davison Fish and Seafood Market.

Then, for unknown reasons, the driver of the car left the scene of the crash.

The market on the city's east side sustained shattered glass and a broken gate to the front of its building.

The section of Seven Mile in front of the store had a water main break on Monday, according to the City of Detroit, which the owner said may have led to the crash as the water left on the road froze over and caused slick conditions.

No injuries have been reported.

There is no information on the suspect.

The Detroit police are currently investigating the crash.
