DETROIT (WWJ) – Police are asking for tips identifying a pair of suspects who robbed a man as he left a liquor store on Detroit’s west side last month.

The robbery happened around 8:40 p.m. on April 22 at a store on 7 Mile Road between Greenfield Road and the Southfield Freeway, according to Detroit police.

As the 44-year-old victim left the store and walked to his car, he was approached by two armed men who got out of a dark Chevy SUV, officials said.

The suspects approached him and demanded his belongings. The suspects then jumped back in the SUV and fled west on 7 Mile with the victim’s iPhone and an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Detroit police on Thursday released photos of the suspects and their SUV in hopes someone can help investigators identify them.
