DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are investigating after a 3-year-old blind boy was found dead in a freezer.

While conducting a welfare check at 1 a.m. Friday in the 12000 block of Monte Vista Street on the city's west side, the Detroit police made the discovery in the home's basement.

Police ended up arresting a 30-year-old woman at the home.

Neighbors told WWJ Newsradio 950's Ryan Marshall that there is also a man that lives in that house, along with four to five children. They also said that they've seen the kids playing outside, and they didn't appear to be abused.

Detroit police are currently investigating and more information will become available soon.
