(WWJ) Police are looking for a man wanted in the fatal shooting of his neighbor in Detroit.
According to police, it's alleged that Keith Talley, Jr. got into an "altercation" with his neighbor in the 3500 block of 23rd St., in the area of Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and I-96.
After the deadly shot was fired, Talley fled the area of a bicycle, police said.
No further details, including the name or age of the victim, have been released.
The shooting happened on Sunday, July 25 — a violent date in the city on which Interim Police Chief James White said 12 people were shot in a matter of hours.
White said police need the people in the public to come forward when they witness violent crime.
"We need the community's help. We need the community to let us know what they see, what they have, so that we can bring these folks to justice," White said, at a news conference Monday. "We have to get to a point where enough is enough. We get to the point where we have a right to live peacefully in our communities, and police can't do it alone."
Anyone with information about Talley, or other recent shootings in the Detroit is asked to call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-800-Speak Up (1-800-773-2587). As always, those who contact Crime Stoppers will remain 100% and will not be required to speak to police or to testify in court.
